Dr. Alun Anderson has been Editor-in-Chief and Publishing Director of New Scientist magazine since 1999. He received a PhD at the University of Edinburgh, and he was granted a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Kyoto in Japan. Dr. Anderson joined Nature magazine as an Editor, and then moved on the US journal Science as the International Editor, before joining the New Scientist in London.
