Piergiorgio Odifreddi

Piergiorgio Odifreddi is a mathematician and writer that has led an international academic career through China, Australia, the former Soviet Union and the United States.

Since 1983 he has been an Associate Professor at the University of Turin, Italy and since 1985 has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Cornell, USA. Presently he works on his scientific study in the field of calculability: a study about the potentialities and limits of calculators.

Moreover he has written many books about scientific communication and won the Galileo Prize in 1998. He collaborates with important national and international newspapers.
