The Temple of Hadrian
The Eighth Edition of the Pirelli Internetional Award at the Temple of Hadrian

Consistent with the philosophy of the Award, which aims at harmonizing the Italian cultural heritage with the multimedia communication of new technologies and science world-wide, this year Pirelli has chosen a setting which synthesizes the value of culture with the passion for new technologies.

The Technical Committee believes that the awarding ceremony represents an important event for the Internet community, which has gathered around the Award during the past seven years, as well as an opportunity for every Netizen to contact our honourable participants, whom have contributed, with their work, towards a more effective diffusion of scientific and technological culture.

The very same building later became the Roman Stock Exchange, an institution it still houses
