Comunicazione e l'Apprendimento Informale della Matematica) for “Images for Mathematics” (http://www.matematita.it/materiale/), a multimedia work that presents a series of images, visualizations and animations of certain concepts and principles of the discipline. This work won 15.000 euro.

For Life Sciences, the award of 15.000 euro has been issued to a researcher of the Institute of Clinical Phisiology of the CNR of Pisa (Istituto di Fisiologia Clinica del CNR di Pisa) for the work “My Heart”, that offers a user-friendly tool for understanding ischemic cardiopathology.

The ict Award (15.000 euro), went to the American Museum of Natural History for the web site “Ology” (http://ology.amnh.org/), an innovative project that introduces young people to

scientific knowledge in a fun and interactive manner.

For the Generazione Alice award, offered by Telecom Italia and reserved for projects with Italian authors, the winner is Sissa (Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati di Trieste) with the website “Ulisse” (http://ulisse.sissa.it), an information and science communication portal that is amongst the most visited in Italy. The project won an award of 10.000 euro.
