What is the Award? Award 2007
Since 1996 it is the first international multimedia competition for the communication of Science & Technology, entirely carried out on the Internet.

With an overall budget prize of 115,000 euro (about US$ 130,000), awards are granted in the following categories: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Life Sciences, innovative communication media (Next Internet Award) and an all-Italian "Premio Pirelli Italia," Junior & Senior.

The Internet, therefore, as an important vehicle for the diffusion of Scientific & Technological Culture, has in the Pirelli Internetional Award a virtual scientific community dedicated toward the promotion of innovative multimedia science communication.
