Description

Winner of the ICT category as well as the Top Pirelli Prize for best entry overall, Google Sky is a virtual hyper-telescope. Developed by Alberto Conti, Matt Kaiser and Josh Perlow, in collaboration with the Hubble Telescope and modelled on Google Earth, this downloadable browser allows users to map and explore the heavens. The website further describes the research project that lead to its development.
