This project aims to promote the studies of the National Academy of Sciences to the non-scientific public and the mass media(www4.nationalacademies.org).

The two virtual presentations submitted to the jury regarding climatic change and the different uses of DNA, two scientific sectors where the National Academy is most focused, due to the substantial social impact these two fields have on everyday life.

"Genetic Science Learning” (gslc.genetics.utah.edu) – USA

The “Genetic Science Learning Center” of the University of Utah has presented two simulations regarding cloning and the use of a gel that favors electrophoresis.

An effective instrument for multimedia communication that aids learning of scientific principles that regulate genetics and promote the spread of this knowledge among the non-scientific public and students.

“Biotech Adventure” (biotech-adventure.okstate.edu) – USA

The project presented by the University of Oklahoma is a web site that teaches the basics of science and the techniques and applications of bio-science in a fun and entertaining manner to young people.
