considered that the International Jury of the Pirelli Relativity Challenge will award only the best overall entry, Telecom Italia, the telephone company within the Pirelli Group, generously endows the Pirelli Relativity Challenge with five extra special prizes, namely:
Special Prize to the most comprehensive effort for the celebration of the International Year of Physics on the net: Gold medal, worth about 3500 US$, plus trip to Venice for the author.
Special Prize to the most humorous although scienfically unexceptionable multimedia work: Gold Medal, worth about 3500 US$, plus trip to Venice for the author.
Special Prize for the most TV-oriented work: Gold Medal, worth about 3500 US$, plus trip to Venice for the author.
Special Prize to the most elementary explanation, made by the most elementary tools and by the most elementary language Gold Medal, worth about 1500 US$, plus trip to Venice for the author.
Special Prize for the youngest finalist: gold medal worth about 1500 US$, plus trip to Venice for the author.
The above awards can only be handed personally to the authors or to one of his/her representatives during the Awarding Ceremony to be held in Venice next December 1, 2005 in occasion of the official closing of the International Year of Physics.
